Equals AI
Equals is an AI-powered spreadsheet and business intelligence platform designed to help companies connect, analyze, model, and report on live business data…
Taskade AI is an AI-powered productivity, project-management, automation, and application-building platform developed by Taskade. It combines collaborative workspaces, projects, tasks, databases, AI agents, workflow automation, and AI-powered application generation in one environment. Its current platform is centered around Taskade Genesis, which allows users to describe an application or workflow in natural language and generate a working system containing projects, AI agents, automations, and data.
Taskade was founded in 2017 by John Xie, Dionis Loire, and Stan Chang. The company initially focused on collaborative task and project management before expanding into AI-powered productivity, automation, agents, and application development. Taskade is backed by Y Combinator and has evolved from a real-time collaborative workspace into a broader AI platform.
A major part of Taskade’s current platform is Taskade Genesis, an AI app builder designed to create functional applications from natural-language instructions. Instead of requiring users to build databases, interfaces, workflows, and automations separately, Genesis can generate connected systems from a prompt. Examples include CRM systems, dashboards, booking systems, internal tools, forms, landing pages, client portals, and other business applications.
Genesis applications are connected to what Taskade calls Workspace DNA. The system combines three main components: Memory, Intelligence, and Execution. Memory consists of projects and databases that store information and context. Intelligence is provided by custom AI agents that can work with that information. Execution is provided through automations and integrations that allow actions to happen across connected services.
Taskade AI also provides custom AI agents. Users can create agents for specific tasks and give them instructions, knowledge sources, tools, and persistent memory. Agents can work with files, URLs, YouTube videos, RSS feeds, projects, and external integrations. They can be used for research, content generation, customer workflows, data processing, lead management, and other repetitive or knowledge-based activities.
Taskade supports autonomous AI agents and AI teams. Agents can perform multi-step tasks, use tools, execute workflows, and operate in the background. Paid plans provide increasing levels of agent capacity, while higher plans add AI teams and more advanced autonomous workflows. This allows multiple specialized agents to work together on larger processes rather than limiting AI to a single conversational assistant.
Another major capability is AI-powered workflow automation. Taskade can trigger workflows from events such as new tasks, schedules, form submissions, or activity in connected applications. AI agents can then process information, make decisions, update records, generate content, and perform actions through integrations. Workflows can include branching, looping, filtering, scheduling, and HTTP requests.
Taskade’s AI system also includes AI chat and content-generation capabilities. Users can use AI to generate and refine text, brainstorm ideas, analyze information, summarize material, work with files, and perform other productivity tasks. AI functionality is integrated into projects, agents, automations, and application-building workflows rather than being limited to a standalone chatbot.
Taskade provides access to a range of frontier AI models. Current Taskade materials describe support for models from providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and open-weight providers. The platform can automatically select models or allow users to select models according to the task, with different models suited to faster tasks, everyday work, or more complex reasoning.
AI usage is controlled through a credit system. AI credits are consumed when Taskade performs AI operations such as building or editing Genesis applications, running AI agents, processing AI automation steps, or using AI chat. The number of credits consumed depends on the model and complexity of the action. Paid-plan credits renew according to the billing cycle, while free credits are provided as a one-time allowance.
Taskade also functions as a collaborative project-management platform. Users can create projects, tasks, subtasks, due dates, custom fields, and workspaces. Teams can collaborate in real time, with changes synchronized across the workspace. The API provides programmatic access to many of the same project and task operations.
The platform supports databases and structured information through projects, custom fields, and generated applications. These capabilities allow users to build structured systems for managing customers, leads, inventory, projects, events, bookings, content, and other business information.
Taskade provides more than 100 integrations that connect its AI agents and automations with external applications. These include communication services, cloud storage, CRM systems, payment platforms, developer tools, marketing platforms, calendars, forms, social networks, and other productivity applications.
Its integration system includes MCP support through the Model Context Protocol. Taskade offers hosted MCP connectors and allows users or developers to connect custom MCP servers. This enables Taskade AI agents and automations to interact with external tools and data sources beyond the platform’s native integrations.
Taskade also provides a REST API and a newer Action API. The REST API provides programmatic access to workspaces, projects, tasks, AI agents, and media. The Action API is designed around action-oriented operations that work well with AI tool calling. Taskade also supports webhooks, HTTP requests, and developer tools for building custom integrations.
The platform supports custom AI agent tools and external APIs. Through HTTP Request actions and MCP servers, users can connect Taskade to services that do not have a native integration. This makes the platform useful for businesses with custom software or proprietary systems.
Taskade supports published AI applications as well. Genesis apps can be published and shared through web URLs, and higher plans provide custom domains and white-label branding. This allows users to turn internally built AI systems into client-facing applications, portals, dashboards, forms, websites, and other interactive tools.
The platform works across web, desktop, and mobile. Taskade supports Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on the web, as well as macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android applications. Genesis applications are designed to be responsive and synchronize across supported platforms.
Taskade is therefore best understood as an AI productivity and application-building platform rather than simply an AI task manager. Its combination of projects, databases, AI agents, autonomous workflows, Genesis app generation, integrations, APIs, MCP, and real-time collaboration makes it suitable for individuals, teams, agencies, developers, and organizations building AI-powered workflows and internal tools.
Taskade currently offers a Free plan, Pro, Business, Max, and Enterprise. The current pricing page lists Pro at $10/month when billed annually, Business at $25/month when billed annually, and Max at $100/month when billed annually. Enterprise pricing is custom. Monthly pricing is higher, and Taskade states that annual billing provides a 50% saving on the applicable paid plans.
The Free plan includes 6,000 one-time AI credits, up to three Genesis applications, one AI agent, and limited automation capacity. Pro includes 50,000 AI credits per month, Business includes 150,000, and Max includes 400,000. Enterprise provides 1.1 million monthly credits as the standard listed allocation, with custom credit arrangements available.
Additional AI credit packs can be purchased when included credits are exhausted. Taskade states that purchased credit packs do not expire, while included paid-plan credits reset each billing cycle.
Taskade AI’s main strength is that it combines project management, AI agents, automation, and application building in one platform. Rather than requiring separate tools for task management, AI assistants, workflow automation, and lightweight internal applications, Taskade attempts to connect all of these capabilities through Workspace DNA.
Taskade Genesis is particularly significant because it allows users to create working applications from natural-language descriptions. Users can build dashboards, CRM systems, forms, portals, websites, booking systems, and other tools without manually designing every component. The generated applications can also connect to Taskade projects, agents, automations, and external integrations.
The AI-agent system provides another strong capability. Agents can use knowledge sources, tools, integrations, and persistent memory, while higher plans support autonomous agents and AI teams. This gives Taskade a broader automation role than conventional AI writing or project-management software.
Its integration ecosystem is also extensive. Taskade currently advertises more than 100 integrations, while MCP expands connectivity further by allowing agents to interact with compatible external services and custom MCP servers.
The developer platform is another advantage. Taskade provides a REST API, Action API, webhooks, HTTP requests, MCP, and developer documentation. Developers can manage projects and tasks programmatically and integrate AI agents into their own applications and workflows.
There are also limitations. Taskade’s AI functionality is heavily tied to AI credits, meaning intensive app generation, agent activity, and automation can consume credits quickly depending on the model and complexity of the task. Users with high AI workloads may therefore need higher plans or additional credit packs.
The platform has also become considerably broader as Genesis, agents, automations, databases, and integrations have been added. This breadth can make Taskade more complex than a simple task-management application, particularly for users who only need basic lists and project tracking.
Taskade is particularly suited to AI-powered productivity, project management, automation, custom internal tools, AI agents, research workflows, CRM systems, content workflows, and application prototyping. Its current direction makes it especially relevant for users who want to create and operate AI-powered business systems from one workspace.
