Riverside AI

Riverside AI is an all-in-one recording, editing, repurposing, livestreaming, hosting, and content distribution platform designed for creators, podcasters, marketers, producers, educators, and businesses. Riverside was founded in 2020 by brothers Gideon Keyson and Nadav Keyson, initially focusing on high-quality remote podcast and video recording. The platform has since expanded into a broader content-production environment that combines studio-quality recording with AI-powered editing, transcription, content repurposing, publishing, and audience-growth tools.

At its core, Riverside allows users to record video and audio remotely while capturing separate tracks for participants. Its local recording technology can capture video at up to 4K and uncompressed audio separately, helping creators maintain high-quality source files even when internet conditions fluctuate. Users can record solo or with guests and then continue working on the recordings inside the same platform rather than moving immediately to another editor.

One of Riverside’s most useful capabilities is its text-based editing workflow. Instead of relying entirely on a traditional timeline, users can search and edit their recordings through the transcript. Removing text from the transcript can remove the corresponding portion of the recording, making podcast and interview editing more accessible to users who are not experienced with professional video-editing software. Riverside also supports multi-track editing, layouts, captions, branding, and other production controls.

AI is integrated throughout Riverside’s workflow. Its transcription system converts recordings into editable text that can be used for captions and other content. AI editing tools can remove filler words, silences, and unwanted sections, while Magic Audio can improve sound quality by reducing unwanted noise and reverb. Riverside also provides AI-powered features for creating chapters, summaries, clips, and other promotional assets from longer recordings.

Riverside’s AI-powered repurposing tools are particularly useful for creators who want to turn one recording into multiple pieces of content. Magic Clips can identify short highlights from a recording, while other tools can create longer segments and promotional material. The AI Co-Creator can help generate content assets such as clips, posts, thumbnails, headlines, and other materials designed for different publishing channels. This allows a single podcast, interview, webinar, or video recording to become a larger content package.

The platform also includes AI-assisted video production features such as B-roll generation, automatic layouts, eye-contact correction, filler-word removal, audio enhancement, speech correction, captions, and translation. Riverside’s AI translation feature can translate and dub recordings into 30 languages while preserving the speakers’ voices and synchronizing lip movements.

Beyond recording and editing, Riverside now provides publishing and distribution features. Users can host podcasts and distribute content to services including YouTube, Spotify, and Apple. Depending on the plan, Riverside also provides social-media publishing and scheduling, livestreaming, webinar registration, audience interaction, analytics, and podcast hosting. This gives creators and businesses the ability to manage more of the content lifecycle from one platform.

Riverside also has features aimed at marketing and business teams. Its higher-level plans include webinar tools, lead capture, HubSpot integration, Salesforce and Marketo integrations, production workspaces, custom roles, SSO, collaborative editing, and API access. The Business API can retrieve recordings and webinar information programmatically, while webhooks can send webinar registration and attendance events to external systems.

Another notable capability is Riverside MCP, which connects Riverside content with AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor. According to Riverside, this can allow connected AI assistants to search transcripts, make edits, cut clips, and publish social content. This expands Riverside beyond a conventional recording platform into a more automation-oriented content-production environment.

Riverside supports a broad range of transcription languages. Its Help Center lists more than 100 supported transcription languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Chinese, Portuguese, Dutch, Hausa, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Swahili, Yoruba, and many others. However, the Riverside interface itself is currently available in English and German, so the extensive language support primarily applies to recording, transcription, captions, and related language features rather than the user interface.

For creators, Riverside is particularly relevant to podcast production, interviews, webinars, social-media content, video marketing, and remote recording. For organizations, its combination of high-quality recording, AI editing, publishing, collaboration, integrations, and business controls makes it suitable for larger content workflows. The platform can therefore serve both individual creators who want a simpler production workflow and teams that need centralized content-production infrastructure.

Pricing

Riverside uses a combination of a free plan and paid subscriptions. The current pricing page lists Free, Pro, Grow, Webinar, and Business plans. The Free plan costs $0 and includes two hours of multi-track recording as a one-off allowance, editing tools, up to 720p video, a Riverside watermark, Magic Clips, and unlimited single-track recording and editing.

The Pro plan is listed at $29 per month when billed monthly or $24 per month when billed annually, with annual billing shown as $288. Pro adds up to 4K video, 48 kHz audio, no watermark, unlimited text-based editing, AI editing and repurposing, AI B-roll, eye-contact correction, filler and silence removal, unlimited transcriptions, Magic Clips, show notes, podcast hosting, analytics, and publishing capabilities. Pro also includes a 14-day free trial.

The Grow plan is listed at $39 per month monthly or $34 per month when billed annually, with annual billing shown as $408. It adds social-media scheduling, newsletter tools, creator websites, additional podcast hosting, video hosting, AI thumbnails, Riverside MCP, Full HD livestreaming, multistreaming, custom RTMP, and additional studios.

The Webinar plan is designed for organizations running webinars and online events. The comparison section currently displays $99 per month monthly or $79 per month with annual billing, while the page shows annual billing of $408, so Riverside’s pricing display contains an inconsistency that users should verify directly before purchasing. It adds webinar registration, lead capture, branded registration forms, Q&A, polls, reactions, webinar analytics, and HubSpot integration.

Business pricing is customized. It adds unlimited studios and storage, advanced collaboration, production workspaces, custom roles, Salesforce and Marketo integrations, API access, SSO, compliance features, dedicated customer support, and other enterprise-oriented capabilities.

Review

Riverside AI brings recording, editing, AI content creation, repurposing, livestreaming, hosting, and distribution into one platform. Its strongest feature is the way these functions connect. A creator can record an interview, edit it through the transcript, clean up the audio, generate clips, create captions, publish the finished content, and distribute it without necessarily moving between several separate applications.

The recording quality is another major strength. Riverside supports separate audio and video tracks and up to 4K video, making it more suitable for professional podcasting, interviews, webinars, and video production than platforms designed mainly for ordinary video calls. The local recording approach is also useful when consistent source quality matters.

Its AI features can substantially reduce repetitive editing work. Tools for transcription, filler removal, silence removal, audio enhancement, clipping, B-roll, eye contact, chapters, summaries, and translation cover many tasks that would otherwise require manual editing or several separate applications. The text-based editing workflow also lowers the learning curve for people who are more comfortable editing written text than manipulating a traditional video timeline.

Riverside is also becoming more useful for marketing teams. Social publishing, scheduling, webinar tools, lead capture, analytics, CRM integrations, and business APIs make the platform relevant beyond podcasting. Teams can use a recording as the starting point for multiple marketing assets rather than treating the recording as the final product.

There are also limitations to consider. The Free plan has restrictions such as 720p video, a watermark, and limited multi-track recording. Several advanced AI features use AI credits, while some important business capabilities are restricted to higher-priced plans. The large number of plans and feature-specific limits can also make pricing more complicated than a simple creator subscription.

Another consideration is that Riverside’s interface is currently available only in English and German, despite its much broader transcription-language support. Users working primarily in other interface languages may need browser translation.

Riverside is therefore particularly well suited to users who want an integrated content-production workflow rather than a standalone recording application. Its combination of professional recording, transcript-based editing, AI repurposing, podcast hosting, livestreaming, webinars, publishing, integrations, and automation capabilities makes it a broad content-production platform.
