Tidio AI

Tidio is an AI-powered customer service platform that combines AI automation, live chat, ticketing, conversational AI, and customer engagement tools in one system. Founded in 2013 in Szczecin, Poland, Tidio has grown into a global customer-support software company serving more than 300,000 businesses worldwide. Its headquarters are in San Francisco, with additional offices in Warsaw and Szczecin.

Tidio’s main AI product is Lyro AI Agent, an AI customer-service agent designed to answer customer questions, automate repetitive support tasks, and assist businesses with customer interactions. Lyro can use a company’s support content, FAQs, website information, and knowledge sources to provide answers while maintaining the organization’s preferred communication style.

Lyro AI Agent

Lyro is designed primarily for customer service and sales workflows. It can automatically respond to common customer questions, handle multiple conversations, and transfer conversations to human agents when necessary. Tidio states that Lyro can solve up to 67% of customer problems, although actual results depend on the business, knowledge base, configuration, and type of customer requests.

Lyro can also work across several communication channels, including website live chat, Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, and email tickets. This allows businesses to provide automated support across the channels where their customers already communicate.

AI-Powered Customer Support

Tidio combines Lyro with a human-support workspace. Teams can manage live conversations, tickets, customer information, and automated interactions from the same platform. This makes it possible for AI to handle routine questions while human agents focus on more complicated customer issues.

The platform also includes AI Copilot, which can assist support teams with faster responses and customer-service workflows. Other features include automatic chat assignment, macros, analytics, operating hours, ticketing, and visitor history.

Automation and Flows

Tidio’s Flows feature provides no-code automation for customer service, marketing, and sales. Businesses can create automated conversation paths that trigger based on customer behavior or website activity.

Flows can be used to collect customer information, answer frequently asked questions, request quotes, handle missed conversations, recommend products, and support sales funnels. Tidio states that Flows can help increase conversions by engaging visitors at important moments in the customer journey.

Ecommerce

Tidio has a strong focus on ecommerce businesses. Its integrations with platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, PrestaShop, Adobe Commerce, Ecwid, OpenCart, and Shopware allow businesses to connect customer support with their online stores.

For Shopify and WooCommerce users, Lyro can support product recommendations and customer questions about products. Tidio’s product-recommendation capabilities can use product catalogs to help customers find products based on factors such as product characteristics or price range.

Integrations

Tidio offers a broad integration ecosystem covering ecommerce, CRM, marketing, analytics, communication, customer service, and workflow automation.

Official integrations include Salesforce, Zendesk, HubSpot, Zoho CRM, Pipedrive, Shopify, WordPress, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, Omnisend, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Zapier, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp, among others. Tidio currently advertises more than 120 integrations.

Tidio also provides developer tools. Its APIs include Widget SDK, OpenAPI, and webhooks, allowing developers to connect Tidio with external applications, synchronize data, create custom workflows, and modify widget behavior.

Multilingual Support

Tidio’s Lyro AI Agent supports 48 languages according to its current Help Center documentation. These include English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, and many others. Lyro can automatically detect the customer’s language and respond in the same language when enabled in the project’s configuration.

Tidio’s chat widget also supports multiple languages, while the admin panel is available in English, French, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese.

Pricing

Tidio currently provides a Free plan, alongside paid Starter, Growth, Plus, and Premium options. The current pricing page lists Starter at $24.17/month when billed annually, Growth starting at $49.17/month, and Plus starting at $300/month plus monthly usage. Premium uses custom pricing.

Lyro AI Agent can also be purchased as a separate add-on. Tidio provides 50 free Lyro conversations for every account, after which customers can purchase additional monthly conversation quotas. Tidio’s current Lyro page states that pricing can start at $0.50 per conversation, depending on the arrangement.

All plans include a 7-day free trial, while the Free plan is available without a credit card and does not expire.

Review

Tidio AI is a strong option for businesses that want to combine AI customer support with human agents, live chat, ticketing, automation, and ecommerce tools. Its biggest advantage is that businesses do not have to replace their existing customer-support workflow to introduce AI. Lyro can handle routine conversations while human agents remain available for more complicated cases.

Its ecommerce capabilities are another major strength. Direct integrations with Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and other platforms allow businesses to connect customer conversations with product catalogs and order information. This makes Tidio particularly useful for online stores that want to use AI for product questions, support, lead capture, and sales.

The platform is also relatively accessible compared with some enterprise-only conversational AI solutions. A permanent Free plan and several paid tiers allow businesses to start small and increase their usage as they grow.

The main limitation is that costs can become more complicated as conversation volumes increase because Tidio separates customer-support conversations, Lyro AI conversations, and Flows usage. Advanced features such as OpenAPI and certain enterprise capabilities are also restricted to higher-tier plans.

Overall, Tidio AI is best suited to small and medium-sized businesses, ecommerce stores, sales teams, and customer-support teams that want an accessible combination of AI automation and human support. Its combination of Lyro, live chat, Flows, ticketing, ecommerce integrations, multilingual support, and APIs makes it a versatile customer-service platform.
