Writesonic

Writesonic is an AI-powered search visibility, SEO, content, and marketing platform developed by Writesonic, Inc. It helps brands and marketing teams create content, optimize websites for traditional search, monitor visibility across AI search engines, identify gaps in how brands appear in AI-generated answers, and take actions designed to improve their visibility.

Writesonic was founded in 2021 by Samanyou Garg. The company initially built an AI content platform around generative AI and has since expanded its product into what it currently describes as an AI Search Growth Engine. Its current platform focuses heavily on the shift from traditional search toward AI-powered discovery across services such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google’s AI search experiences.

The platform combines AI Search Visibility Monitoring, AI Agent Analytics, Action Center, AI Agents, AI Article Writer, AI Content Agent, AI Search Volume, AI Brand Explorer, AI Shopping Tracker, and AI Ads Tracker. This gives marketing teams tools for monitoring how often their brands appear in AI-generated answers and for acting on the insights rather than simply viewing analytics.

AI Search Visibility

A major part of the current Writesonic platform is AI-search visibility tracking. Depending on the plan, users can monitor their brand across AI platforms, track prompts and answers, examine competitors, review citations and sentiment, and identify opportunities to improve their presence.

The current plans support tracking across platforms including ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews, while higher-tier plans expand coverage to additional AI platforms such as Claude, Perplexity, Grok, DeepSeek, Microsoft Copilot, Meta AI, Google AI Mode, and Google AI Overviews.

Writesonic also provides an Action Center and agentic workflows that are intended to help users move from identifying visibility problems to taking corrective actions. Enterprise users receive broader access to AI visibility, content, SEO, agentic workflows, custom users and projects, and a dedicated strategy team.

Content and SEO

Writesonic retains its AI content-generation capabilities alongside its newer AI-search features. Its tools can generate articles, marketing copy, product content, social content, email copy, and other forms of written material. Earlier Writesonic documentation describes more than 100 AI writing features and support for SEO-optimized content, long-form articles, content improvement, bulk content generation, and industry-specific writing.

The platform’s AI Article Writer and AI Content Agent are designed to help teams produce content at scale. Users can also publish content directly to supported CMS platforms such as WordPress and connect Writesonic to other applications through integrations and automation tools.

Integrations and APIs

Writesonic currently advertises 20+ native integrations and one API. These cover content management systems, CDNs, search and SEO services, analytics, AI agents, social/video platforms, and developer workflows.

Examples include WordPress, Sanity, Contentful, Contentstack, Drupal, Vercel, Cloudflare, Fastly, Akamai, Google Cloud CDN, Google Search Console, Google Search, Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, Looker Studio, ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Codex, LinkedIn, YouTube, and its Public API.

Writesonic also supports MCP, allowing AI assistants such as ChatGPT to access Writesonic data and generate visibility reports through natural-language requests. Its API provides programmatic access to platform functionality and can be used to build custom integrations and workflows.

Languages

Writesonic’s documentation states that its content-generation tools support 25+ languages. An older official documentation page lists 24 specific languages: English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Polish, Portuguese, Dutch, Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, Greek, Hungarian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian, Swedish, Finnish, and Estonian. Current documentation describes the broader capability as 25+ languages, so the exact current language list should be treated as subject to change.

Pricing

Writesonic’s current pricing has shifted toward its AI Search Growth Engine. The current standard plans are:

  • Starter โ€” $79/month, billed annually. Includes 1 user, 1 project, 50 prompts, 50 tracked answers daily, 15 AI articles per month, 10 site audits, and limited agentic workflows.
  • Basic โ€” $199/month, billed annually. Includes 2 users, 1 project, 100 prompts, 300 tracked answers daily, 25 AI articles per month, and 20 site audits.
  • Growth โ€” $399/month, billed annually. Includes 3 users, 2 projects, 200 prompts, 600 tracked answers daily, 50 AI articles per month, 50 site audits, sentiment analysis, Action Center access, and expanded agentic workflows.
  • Enterprise โ€” Custom pricing. Includes broader AI-search coverage, full Action Center, full agentic workflows, custom users/projects, SSO/SAML, SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, GDPR, and a dedicated strategy team.
  • 7-day free trial: Available for the standard plans, with the current site stating that no credit card is required.

Writesonic also provides separate Agency pricing, with an Agency Starter plan currently shown at $200/month when billed annually.

Review

Writesonic is now best suited to marketing teams, SEO professionals, agencies, e-commerce businesses, and organizations that want to understand and improve their visibility in AI-powered search.

Its strongest advantage is that it combines several activities that are often handled by separate tools: AI-search visibility monitoring, SEO analysis, content creation, AI citation tracking, analytics, AI agents, and execution workflows. The platform’s integrations can also connect visibility data with tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, WordPress, Looker Studio, and CMS platforms.

The platform is particularly attractive for agencies because it supports multi-client workflows, white-label reporting, pitch workspaces, and agency-focused functionality. Growth teams can use its prioritized actions and built-in workflows, while e-commerce companies can monitor product visibility and AI shopping recommendations.

The main drawback is pricing. Writesonic’s current paid plans are considerably more expensive than many traditional AI writing assistants, particularly because the product is now positioned as a broader SEO and AI-search visibility platform. Users who only need basic AI writing or copy generation may find the platform more extensive than necessary.

Writesonic is therefore a stronger fit for organizations that need SEO + GEO/AI-search visibility + content + automation, rather than users looking for a simple standalone AI writing assistant.
