Le Chat

Le Chat was Mistral AI’s conversational AI assistant and is now Vibe, Mistral’s unified AI agent for productivity and coding. Vibe combines the conversational experience previously known as Le Chat with agentic productivity and software-development capabilities. It is available through the web and mobile, while its coding capabilities also extend to the terminal, VS Code, and remote coding environments.

Vibe operates across three main modes: Work, Code, and Chat. Work is designed for professional productivity and can perform multi-step tasks across connected tools, conduct research, analyze documents and data, create deliverables, draft communications, and schedule recurring tasks. Code is designed for software development and can work through the CLI, VS Code, or remote coding sessions. Chat retains the turn-based conversational experience and legacy Le Chat features such as Agents, Think mode, Deep Research, Code Interpreter, and Memories.

The platform supports web search, Deep Research, document analysis, data exploration, code execution, image generation, voice input, task scheduling, and multi-step workflows. Users can upload PDFs, images, CSV files, and Office documents, then ask Vibe to analyze or transform the information. Its Code Interpreter can execute code in a sandbox for scientific analysis, visualization, and simulations.

Vibe also provides Skills, Workflows, and Connectors. Skills allow users to package instructions, tools, and scripts for repeatable tasks. Workflows can orchestrate multi-step automations, while connectors allow Vibe to search, summarize, and act across external services and business tools. Mistral currently advertises 100+ connectors, including tools such as email, calendar, Slack, GitHub, Jira, Notion, Linear, and Drive. Custom MCP connectors are also supported.

For professional work, Vibe can help with research, reports, presentations, documents, meeting preparation, emails, data analysis, contract reviews, candidate screening, and recurring business workflows. It can also create documents, presentations, code, mockups, and other content through its Canvas capabilities.

For developers, Vibe Code can read files, edit code, run commands, generate tests, work across repositories, and assist with pull requests. Mistral also provides remote coding agents that can operate in isolated cloud sandboxes. Vibe can connect coding workflows to GitHub, GitLab, Jira, project boards, and other business context.

Mistral offers Vibe through a Free, Pro, Team, and Enterprise structure. The Free plan provides access to the assistant with limited messages and web searches, limited coding sessions, image generation, and 100+ connectors. Pro currently costs $14.99/month, while Team costs $24.99 per user/month. Enterprise provides private deployments, custom models, custom agents, custom workflows, audit logs, SAML SSO, and white-label capabilities.

Mistral’s models support a broad range of languages.
